Werewolf for Halloween

Posted by bob in Films, News on April 23rd, 2008

As the zombie cycle begins to wind down, it appears the next monster poised for a big comeback may be our hairy pal the werewolf.  First up is the film Never Cry Werewolf, starring Kevin Sorbo (Andromeda), Nina Dobrev (Degrassi: The Next Generation) and Peter Stebbings (Jack and Jill vs. the World).  Coming October 31 from Peace Arch Entertainment, the film tells the tale of a TV host hunting the wild (a Steve Irwin/Josh Gates type) and coming across the real deal.

Never Cry WerewolfBrenton Spencer (Lightning: Bolts of Destruction) directs from a John Sheppard (Ripper 2: Letter from Within) screenplay. The Canadian shoot finished recently and is now in postproduction.  Stay tuned for more details.

And of course, coming in early 2009 is the new version of the Wolf Man so we’re in for some hairy months.
