Posted by dominie in Events, Films, News on December 1st, 2008

Uwe Boll (House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, Postal) returns to horror with his new thriller The Storm for Brightlight Pictures reports Dread Central. Currently filming in Vancouver through mid-December, the film stars Luke Perry (The Fifth Element, 90210), Steve Bacic (Andromeda), and Lauren Holly (Dumb and Dumber).

Scripted by Tim McGregor, The Storm concerns a stranger named Silas (Perry) who emerges from a devastating storm seeking refuge with Tom (Bacic) and Gillian (Holly) on their farm. As they struggle to deal with the upheaval and disaster left in the wake of the storm, Silas may be the only one who can help Tom, Gillian and their young son survive. But as the family comes to terms with what they have lost in the storm, they are threatened by a danger that could prove even more catastrophic than the forces of nature.
