Samuel L. Jackson will never run out of work. After his bad cop play in Lakeview Terrace, Columbia Pictures picked up him for yet another bad guy role—that of the villain in the remake of Berry Gordy’s 1985 cult classic The Last Dragon reports THR.
The script, penned by Dallas Jackson, follows the original film which centers on a “young martial arts student Leroy Green in his quest through the streets of New York to achieve the highest level of martial arts accomplishment, known as the Last Dragon. Those who achieve the high ranking possess the Glow, making them the greatest fighter alive.”
Jackson will play Sho’nuff, the Shogun of Harlem, the role played by the late Julius Carry in the original film.
