As Sony Pictures and series director Sam Raimi reportedly continue to clash over the fourth film’s villain, sources inside the studio have confirmed that the proposed holiday break for the filmmakers has become a full-fledged hiatus. Production had been scheduled to begin in February, but this has been postponed.
Market Watch reports that Disney is set to acquire Marvel Entertainment, Inc, a stock/cash transaction worth about $4 billion. The acquisition will give Disney ownership of the complete Marvel library of over 5,000 characters.
