COLLAPSE, Jason Bolinger and “Insane” Mike Saunders’ love letter to undead cinema and Midwestern toil, has been shuffling about in the shadows for quite a while on its way to distribution. Originally shot in 2009, well before the recent WALKING DEAD-inspired zombie influx, COLLAPSE may have had a circuitous route into public hands, but there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel. Intergroove/Film Savoy is releasing the film on January 27th on region free DVD and Blu-ray, with the tweaked title of COLLAPSE OF THE LIVING DEAD. The picture stars Chris (TWIN PEAKS, BOARDWALK EMPIRE) Mulkey, Karen (ST.ELSEWHERE, HEARTBREAK HOTEL) Landry, and the omnipresent Linnea Quigley. Toby (THE WALKING DEAD) Sells handled special make-up effects. COLLAPSE is looking for U.S. release later this year, so stay tuned.
