5 Things Called “DEVIL INSIDE” That Might Be Better Than The Movie

With THE DEVIL INSIDE gasping for air in cinemas across the country (yesterday theaters averaged a daily intake of $385 on it), we figured it would be fun to take a look at alternatives to the William Brent Bell film, for those of you who love things called DEVIL INSIDE. We can’t vouch for the quality on any of this (other than the INXS song, of course), but according to general consensus, it seems they all might be a better investment than heading out to catch the hit motion picture.

5. “Devil Inside” by INXS, from the album “Kick”
Catchy hit single from the only INXS album most people ever owned made it all the way to #2 on the US charts.
Extra points: Cover art featuring a cardigan sweater and flying skateboard.

4. “Devil Inside” by Bret Michaels, from the album “Ballads, Blues & Stories”
Poison frontman delivers another song for this 2001 release that sounds exactly the same as every other ballad he ever wrote. Which is pretty much all he wrote. Unrelated to our #5 pick.
Extra Points: Yep, dreadlocks.

3. “Devil Inside” PC game from Take 2
Zombie hunting game show storyline underscores slow action with ancient looking graphics.
Extra Points: One review on Amazon states, “The zombie grandma with the grocery cart and the uzi is funny, lol.”

2. “Devil Inside” nail polish from SpaRitual
Satanic nail polish! Who knew?
Extra Points: SpaRitual also offers colors called “Free Bird” and “It’s Raining Men”

1. “The Devil Inside” book by Kate Davies
Something about a girl spending her life fearing rodeos, but having to come to terms with her fear and join the rodeo. I don’t know.
Extra Points: The book graciously cautions of the following: “Warning: Lots of hot, sweaty, down-and-dirty lovin’. Cowgirl up!”

Re: #1 – I myself could use “Lots of hot, sweaty, down-and-dirty lovin’. “

There’s also the online DEVIL INSIDE comic by Todd Stashwick and Dennis Calero, which is much more entertaining that another Exorcist rehash:

#1 is AWESOME. Definitely better than the movie.
