While Universal is going through their treasure troves and sharing rare items with the public in celebration of their 100th anniversary, Full Moon is doing the same. Sort of. The direct-to-video giant is apparently switching offices, and in the process they have come across a few collectible goodies of their own.
Item one for your consideration: a GHOULIES hand puppet! For those (sadly) not familiar, GHOULIES, released in 1985, was Luca Bercovici’s first film as director (followed by ROCKULA in 1990), and what a debut it was. Telling the story of a man moving into a sprawling mansion, where he is overcome with the obsession to have ancient demon creatures do his glowing-eyed bidding.
Quite frankly, GHOULIES II, released in 1988, is a superior movie to the original (love the carnival setting and colorful characters), but the first film in the series (that would see a third and fourth sequel before calling it a day) is still a fun jaunt.
So here you go, the GHOULIES hand puppet courtesy Full Moon. Now where’s that DOLLMAN hand puppet the public has been screaming for?
