William Brent Bell’s THE DEVIL INSIDE may have opened with a twitching bang, but after seven days of solidly negative reviews and word of mouth, the picture took a monster 76% dip in its second weekend, as reported by BoxOfficeMojo. The film even fell behind similarly critically bashed SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS, which is in its fifth week.
Despite the box office piledriver, THE DEVIL INSIDE is solidly in the black, to the tune of over $46million at this point. The drop is especially shocking considering the film added over 200 screens between its opening weekend and the last.
