We’re one step closer to getting more MUNSTERS action in the near future.
NBC has officially given the go-ahead to a pilot that’s going to reboot American’s favorite horror family. Bryan Fuller, creator of the much-missed PUSHING DAISIES, wrote the script. According to Deadline, the script has been well received by the higher-ups at the network. Deadline goes on to state:
Like Fuller’s previous series, Pushing Daisies, the project features striking visuals mixed with all the classic Munsters archetypes. Grandpa Sam Dracula is essentially Dracula who assembled Herman because no man was good enough for his daughter Lily, a sexy vamp. Lily’s niece Marilyn the freak is actually normal and Lily and Herman’s only child, Eddie, has his werewolf tendencies surface in puberty, forcing the family to relocate to their famous 1313 Mockingbird Lane address.
This isn’t the only reboot project Fuller has on his plate. In addition to MUNSTERS, Fuller is also working with NBC to possibly bring HANNIBAL to television screens.
With cannibals and vampires and werewolf boys, NBC is going to look quite monstrous next fall.
What do you guys think? Too many remakes, or keep ‘em coming? I hear the new ADDAMS FAMILY is still looking for a home…

UGH!! When is enough, enough?? This sounds just awful and if it gets picked up.. I won’t watch!! And as far as Hannibal goes..maybe he’ll have his own cooking show!! Whats next? oh thats right…Dr. Who is going to be ‘improved!!”
Why? Why?
The script has been well received by the higher ups? UGH!!!!…well those higher ups must be Yuppies…born in the 80′s. Yea…and Sorry about this, but in my humble opinion Singers Superman wasn’t all that. Special FX is what really makes the film…and a really good script?….doesn’t hurt either.
