Boris Kodjoe gives the people want they want: A giant Licker!
Newcomers to the series might think that’s some kind of gross reference to an adult film, but fans know that it’s actually one of the coolest monsters from the RESIDENT EVIL games and movies. Climbing across the ceilings, lashing at anyone around with its whip-like giant tongue, the Lickers first appeared in RESIDENT EVIL 2 to torture Leon Kennedy in the hallowed halls of the Raccoon City Police Department.
Well, now they’re back for RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION, and Boris Kodjoe, who stars as Luther West, recently posted the following pic on his Twitter page. The shot is accompanied by the text:
Night shift once again on RE5. Yeah! Bring it. Here’s the real size claw of the ‘licker’, chillin’.
That is one big claw. Godzilla-sized Licker monsters in the fifth entry of the franchise? That’s one way to keep things fresh and keep the fan base happy.
