How many fellow fright fans out there gave out with a howl of pride when Rick Baker was nominated for the Academy Award? (What? You’ve not watched The Wolfman??? Please rectify that immediately!) We inside the MovieFrightFare crypt had high hopes for the old-fashioned shocker starring Benicio del Toro as Lon Chaney, Jr. (ahem–as Lawrence Talbot), and, at least as far as Ghouly Irv’s cameraman was concerned, Joe Johnston‘s film does not disappoint.
But enough! We are here to praise Rick Baker, not to bury him! I’ll pipe down and let your humble horror host do the talking:
