Still Screaming

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen with your mouths agape — in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, horror auteur Wes Craven announced that he has plans to begin shooting Scream 4 this May.

It’s been a whopping fourteen years since the theatrical release of the original, fairly laudable Scream, and ten since the self-explanatory Scream 3: Ghostface Killer, but Wes Craven’s gotta eat, right?

Returning to that potentially dry well with Craven will be Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette. Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original trilogy, is back on the script for what is supposedly the beginning in another proposed trilogy.

The tagline brashly declares: New decade, new rules!

For those of you all Screamed out, Craven does have a recently completed film, My Soul to Take, which is due out later this year.
