Now available on the iTunes store, the iPhone app store, and in print is Level 26: Dark Origins, a new multimedia project written by CSI creator Anthony E. Zuiker and crime fiction writer Duane Swierczynski (who has written a number of novels, but is best-known to me as the guy currently kicking ass at writing The Immortal Iron Fist).
Dark Origins, which is the first in a trilogy, uses new cross-platform approaches to storytelling, wherein every 20 pages of prose are followed by videos and visual features that help to tell the story with “well-known Hollywood actors, crime scene documents, and special interactive features.” It tells the story of a dangerous serial killer who knows how to protect himself from any forensics investigation, and who is so terrifying, he’s been kept a secret from the public.
