Adam Mason (The Devil’s Chair) is currently filming his new project, Luster. Dread Central first made the announcement in the beginning of October and it looks to be coming along. The poster art is shown. They synopsis: Thomas Luster is a troubled businessman who tries to make sense of a life being driven out-of-control by a force closer to home than he first realizes. When he discovers that the man working against him is another side of his own personality he is forced to fight back against his manipulative alter-ego as murder, madness and mayhem combine to take Thomas Luster on the most bizarre and terrifying ride of his life.
French supernatural action thriller Djinns caught B-D’s eye this weekend as well. The project is currently in pre-production with Cryll Raffaelli (Die Hard 4) and Nicolas Duvauchelle signed on to star. Directed by Hugues Martin, Djinns takes place in the North African desert of he Sahara. 1960. Soldiers are sent on a rescue mission in the desert. Trapped in a sand storm, isolated from their commander, they run into Algerian rebels. As they seek shelter in an uncharted village another invisible threat comes out from the desert—the Djinns. As their ranks are decimated, they’ll face the longest night of their lives. The Djinns are creatures “felt” rather than seen in the sand storm. They are shadows among the shadows. Obsessive and troubling spirits, they do not attack their victims physically but with far more deadly means.
The Screen Daily reported that Oren Peli who directed Paranormal Activity is planning a remake of his original film for DreamWorks. The original movie has been well received from all over and major territories such as the UK, Austrailia, New Zealand, France, Scandinavia, South Korea, Greece, Singapore, and Portugal. The film, praised possibly one of the scariest films made follows a happy, carefree couple who becomes haunted by a demonic spirit.
