Production of Dario Argento’s latest addition to his creation of Giallo horror films (which we discussed here), titled Giallo, wrapped principal photography in June. Bloody Disgusting reveals the official logline.

Starring Elsa Pataky, Adrien Brody and Emmanuelle Seigner, and written by Sean Keller and Jim Agnew, the film begins in Italy, an American woman fears her sister may have been kidnapped. Inspector Enzo Lavia fears it’s worse. They team up to rescue her from a sadistic killer known only as Yellow.

An extended synopsis is also available.

Giallo, in Italian meaning crime fiction and mystery, is just that combined with Argento’s infamous horror and slasher influences in the mix. Inspector Enzo Lavia doesn’t fit in with the rest of the crowd at the police department. He’s been following details in a recent trend of abductions and murders by a serial killer named Yellow (Byron Deidra) who only targets beautiful female tourists. He tortures his victims, mentally and physically abusing them, for amusement until he is ready to disgard their bodies. His latest victim was an Asian exchange student, followed by Celine an American fashion model.

Linda, a flight attendant arrives in Torino to spend time with Celine, but when Celine doesn’t show, she goes to the local police where Inspector Enzo Lavia takes on her concerns. Enzo is confident that Celine must be Yellow’s next victim. His crazy theories about Yellow are consistently confirmed and he suspects that Yellow may have hepatitis, leading them to the hospital where Yellow just happens to be! Yellow gets away, but when he spotted Linda, he knew he must have her to! Both sisters may now fall victim and time is running out as Enzo and Linda close in on the chase to save her sister.
