Maxime Alexandre will make his directorial debut with a thriller, Holy Money. Alexandre is best known as a director of photography, including this week’s release of Mirrors. Alexandre co-wrote the new film with Philippa Goslett and M. Christine Vanden Eede and he has cast Aaron Stanford (The Hills Have Eyes) and Karl Roden (Blade II). A teaser website has already gone live.
Guitarist John 5 has recorded “a killer slab of raging fury” for Rob Zombie’s Tyrannosaurus Rex coming in August 2009. Sounds like a lot of noise to us. Meanwhile, we’re finally getting a sense of the plot as Blabbermouth reports that the film features a semi-professional wrestler pursued by a “biker gang from hell.”
Greg McLean told Moviehole that “I am working on a few screenplays right now, as I am keen as hell to make another movie as soon as possible, because the Rogue release has been such a long process. I’m ready to rock again - but want to make sure I’m going out there with a screenplay that’s as great as it can be.” One possibility he mentioned was Wolf Creek 2 although he noted, “You’ve got to top the first one - and seriously, how much horror can you handle? If I did make Wolf Creek 2 it would almost have to be unreleasable. Rated XXX. Banned all over the world. Never to be screened in public. That’s kind of intriguing.”
