Devil’s Due Kills Laurie Strode for the First Time

Stefan Hutchinson is writing Halloween: The First Death of Laurie Strode, a follow up to his well received Halloween: Nightdance for Devil’s Due Publishing. “The big news is the second series, which has been designed as a jumping point for new readers. It’s set in 1979,” the writer told Bloody-Disgusting.

“It’s illustrated by Jeff Zornow (who is known in the horror community for his ‘Fright Rags’ t-shirt designs). I’m on-board for the writing duties, and the story is about what happened to Laurie Strode following the events of Halloween and Halloween II, so it also fills in a lot of back-story for fans of the films.”

The collected edition for Nightdance goes on sale August 16 and the new series debuts next month.
