The triple-threat, according to Variety, will work alongside returning director Jon Favreau. The main cast of Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Terence Howard will all return in the film, slated for an April 30, 2010 release.
Less than a month after release, Wanted 2 is already being planned by Marc Platt Productions which has re-signed with Universal Pictures. Director Timur Bekmambetov and writers Michael Brandt and Derek Haas are already figuring out what to do next. Platt and company are also mounting several other projects including the movie adaptation of the theatrical smash Wicked. Platt is also involved in the Edgar Wright-directed Scott Pilgrim vs. the World in addition to Bekmambetov’s recently adaptation Christian Gossett’s The Red Star.
