Lionsgate has set a November 7 release for Repo! The Genetic Opera. Expect this to be a short-lived run before it lives forever on DVD.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be shot in Mexico, not New Zealand according to Variety. The production’s need for several large soundstages plus a massive water tank prompted the move to Baja Studios. As a result, shooting, originally slated for October, will now begin in January.
We don’t normally talk about Doctor Who, although we probably should, but we wanted to pass along that Sci-Fi Channel has confirmed that the fourth season ending episode, “Journey’s End,” will run as a 90-minute special when it airs in August. On the BBC, the 65-minute finale is considered quite long and unusual but given the threads leading up to this moment, it deserves the space.
The ABC adaptation of the British series Life on Mars has added Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos) to the cast. He’ll play Detective Ray Carling, a character from the 1970s. The time-travel drama is about Sam Tyler (Jason O’Mara), a modern-day detective who goes back to 1972 after experiencing a car crash and still functions as a detective.
