Willem DaFoe (Spider-Man) has joined John C. Reilly and Salma Hayek in the film adaptation of Darren Shan’s Cirque du Freak. DaFoe will play a vampire in the traveling freak show.

Katie Featherston (Paranormal Activity) has been added to Mel House’s cast for Walking Distance. She’ll play the girlfriend to lead actor Denton Blane Everett.

Brendan Mackey (Touching the Void), Robert Maskell, Patrick Regis (Anaconda 3), Jennifer Matter (Wet Dreams, Dry Days), Peter Vives (Savage Grace), Claudia Bassols (Blackout), Anna Casas (Maresme), and Iaione Pérez (Meat Me) have all been picked for teams in the thriller Paintball.

Rainn Wilson told MTV he’ll have a cameo as Shia LaBeouf’s professor in Transformers 2, yet another reason to see the film next summer.

Tura Satana will reprise her role of Varla, seen in Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, for Rob Zombie’s animated The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. According to his MySpace blog, Varla will be seen with another classic character. “The scene involves Varla and Otis from The Devil’s Rejects,” he wrote.
